Verses of Shivasharane Akkamma. She composed 154 verses in Ankitanama 'Acharave Pranava Rameswaralinga'. Place of Birth Eleshwar (Eleri). Unity - Welfare. Lord Rameshwar. About Akkamma, not much details about her biography are available. It is known that she may have been an agricultural woman. It is conceivable to have lived an independent life without marriage. Akkamma's time AD. 1160 is. Her earlier name was Remmavwe. She may have been born in Eleri village of Yadgiri district. She may have been influenced by Eleri Ketaiya who was in the same town. When we study Akkamma's vachanas, she has given importance to Vrata. She recited 64 vows, 56 sheelas and 32 nemas. It is important to note that these vrata nemas are not like the vrata nemas practiced traditionally by other women, but all these vrata nemas are committed to the sharansiddhanta. In terms of the number of verses, she is credited with the position after Akkamahadevi and Neelamma. Vrata, nema, achara, sheela - these are the basic substance of her vows.
