NOT MEMORIZATION-BASED - INSTRUCTIVE METHOD

A New Method for Elif-Bâ: An Instructive Approach Rather Than Memorization

The New Method Elif-Bâ introduces letters in groups rather than teaching all at once. By utilizing the inductive method, it spreads learning over time, progressing from parts to the whole. With a few letters taught in the first lesson, it enables reading from day one and continues this reading practice in all subsequent lessons.

Our study, prepared by following a completely different method from other works, is a pioneering effort that could open new horizons in its field. It has been made available for free, supported by a Mobile App, Question Bank, Presentations, and Online Tests.

Lesson 1:

The student begins by learning the first 4 letters instead of the entire alphabet. By understanding the principle of vowelization through these four letters, the student can read a few-letter words from day one. With this method, the student learns to read without spending days memorizing letters.

Lesson 2:

Using another set of four letters, the concept of Tanween is taught, and new reading practices are introduced. The student, who starts reading from day one, not only becomes more eager to read the Qur’an but also enjoys the process.

Lesson 3:

Next, the second group of letters, consisting of six letters, is introduced. By reading new words that include the previous four letters, the student learns the second group of letters effectively.

In subsequent lessons, we teach features like Sukun (Cezm), Shadda (Şedde), and Madd using just ten letters. By limiting the initial learning to ten letters, the cognitive load is reduced, making it easier for the student to learn these new features.

Final Stage:

The remaining letters are taught in groups of four, completing the education.

This method has been tested across a wide age range, from 7 to 70, and with the help of Allah (cc), it has proven successful in every group.
