App Description

German three-pronged invasion of Poland

Full version: Invasion of Poland 1939 is a turn based strategy game set on the European theater during the Second World War. From Joni Nuutinen: by a wargamer for the wargamers since 2011

You are in command of the German WWII armed forces invading Poland from three separate directions (Fall Weiss - Case White). While the Germans have a clear advantage once all the divisions join the offensive, the Polish Army defends their homeland fiercely, using the defensive fortifications, rivers, and their local mobility to try to halt the German advance before the entire country is torn into pieces. The object of the game is to seize both the Polish capital city of Warsaw and control over 100 victory points as quickly as possible. This war is also known as the September Campaign or the 1939 Defensive War.

Notes: An attack-centric scenario with Germans pushing forward from multiple directions.

"The Poles fought with the courage of despair. Their losses were heavy, but they would not yield. Their cavalry, in particular, distinguished itself by its bravery and self-sacrifice. But the Poles were outnumbered and outgunned. Their air force was destroyed on the first day of the war. Their tanks were no match for the German Panzer divisions. Within two weeks, the Polish army had been virtually destroyed."
- German General Heinz Guderian in his book Panzer Leader

In order to be a victorious general, you must learn to coordinate your attacks in two ways. First, as adjacent units give support to an attacking unit, keep your units in groups in order to gain local superiority. Secondly, it is rarely the best idea to use brute force when it is possible to encircle the enemy and cut of
