mobilityView's Mobile Cost Management (MCM) solution allows employees to get reimbursed for the business usage of their personal Smartphone Hardware & Plan. It will also provide the documentation necessary to substantiate a tax deduction.
Gig Economy Workers & Freelancers can get tax deductions &/or reimbursement for the business use of their personal Smartphone Hardware & Plan.
Businesses can use the MCM Platform as a cost containment vehicle to mitigate data overages. It also combined an enterprise archive & data sync cloud system; which is an essential aspect of cost effective device management of a corporate wireless device fleet.
Companies, Employees & Gig Workers/Freelancers are required by a variety of regulatory authorities to have the ability to separate business from personal usage & cost associated with calls, smses, data usage, WiFi, and roaming charges due to changes in the tax code and labour law at a provincial/state level and national level.
Companies and their employees/gig economy workers/freelancers are now required by regulatory authorities to keep a record of all calls and SMS’s for a period of 6 to 8 years depending upon the country. For example the : IRS (Internal Revenue Service), CRA (Canada Revenue Agency), HMRC (Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs), and a number of other G-20 countries all have made made tax code changes requiring businesses, employees & gig economy workers/freelancers to show business only use of corporately-owned devices and personally-owned devices utilized for business purposes.
The enterprise and employee are required to capture usage & cost for : Calls, SMSes, Data, International Calling, and Roaming.
The Mobile Cost Management app only works if the entire system (the MCM Platform) is acquired by a corporation/employee/gig economy worker. This requires all users to use corporate login/credentials or authorized personal credentials to authenticate and access the system and the archived/sync’d information.
The archived/sync’d information is required by corporations for both cost effective device management and regulatory tax compliance, and, by corporate workers to comply with personal regulatory tax compliance.
