App Description
The Mission Bus Pass Checker app is integrated with Mission Passenger Transport Software. It allows organisations to issue bus passes that are stored on a mobile device. It is ideal for school bus passes or any transport ticket where you want to go paperless and having the ticket on a device would be better.
The Bus Pass details include a QR Code, Valid From and Valid To dates, an expiry countdown and details of the route that the ticket or pass is attached to. Bus passes are bound to a specific device to stop users trying to use the same pass or ticket on different devices at the same time - this is actually not possible with this app.
There is a daily password system that displays a random word every day for transport co-ordinators, bus drivers or ticket checkers to see if tickets are valid or not. Tickets that are not valid are shown very clearly in red text.
There is a full messaging system that allows you to send messages to an individual person's app or selected groups of travellers - so everyone on a specific route for example. These messages can be generic "Bad Traffic - bus running 15 minutes late" or "Please contact the office to renew your pass - it expires tomorrow".
