Welcome to Amigos Community! We’re an exclusive social platform designed for students. If you’re studying in a university or living in a student accommodation, well then you’re in for a ride. Creating new connections has never been easier but also never more difficult. We created Amigos to allow you to connect with your peers easily, create valuable connections within your University or accommodation, share stories and ideas, get access to exclusive services and rewards, sell or buy from a student only marketplace and get access to the right information. Also, WE’RE ABSOLUTELY FREE!
On Amigos, you can easily get to know your classmates or fellow residents and make friends - whether you’re physically going to your campus or not. You can network easily – with current students and alumni. You can start discussions, ask questions and read content that’s valuable to you as a student.
GOING BACK TO THE ROOTS
We’re scaling back instead of scaling forward from the social media we’ve come to know. We want to connect students with their immediate and most valuable community. Instead of providing you with an additional layer of social networking, we’re going back to the roots – to the very first layer. We’re dialing down on the information to keep it as relevant to you as possible, we’re providing you an opportunity to forge lifelong relationships, network within a defined space so you can make the MOST OUT OF YOUR EXPERIENCE AS A STUDENT. We’re basically making social networking easy again!
WHAT TO EXPECT?
• PERSONAL FEED: This is where all the content lives. You can post questions here, start discussions, see and comment on existing discussions and questions posted by others. You can review articles, announcements, job postings, relevant opportunities, rewards, latest events and get notified when someone from your University or accommodation creates a group. So you basically have a 360 degree view on everything that’s happening around the campus.
• GROUP CHAT: You can create groups based on your interest or your subject and degree. It can be anything from “Finance101” to “NetflixAddicts”. Amigos helps you discover and connect with other students and communities they have created so you can get in on the game and start building some friendships.
