App Description
This is a classic approach to the fun, tactical dice game Shut The Box - MultiPlayer, enjoyed by young and old for centuries. Players aim to earn the lowest score possible by rolling the dice and covering the rolled numbers from 1 to 10.
Simple Gameplay: Push the button to roll the dice, add the numbers from both dice, and then close the boxes based on the sum of the dice numbers.
This perennially popular game is a fantastic way to support math skills! Shut the Box - MultiPlayer is a traditional board game involving two dice and a wooden board with hinges that allow the numbers 1 through 10 to be flipped down individually.
A turn involves rolling the dice repeatedly while flipping down a number or numbers with each roll. When no more numbers can be flipped, the turn is over, and the score is then determined. The main objective is to shut the box, or flip down all the numbers, to achieve the best score of zero.
The game became well-liked among sailors and fishermen and has remained a traditional fun game. This game helps improve math skills and teaches players how to solve math puzzles.
How to Play:
- The dice show "Roll Dice" at the beginning of the game.
- Push the button to roll the dice and add the dots facing up on the dice.
- Touch the number markers to flip them down using any combination of dice totals that you choose.
For example, if you roll a 4 and a 5 on your first roll, you have a total of 9 (the player must use both dice) and may flip down the number markers for:
- Combination of 4 and 5
- Combination of 3, 4, and 2
- Combination of 8 and 1
- Combination of 2 and 7
- Combination of 6 and 3
- Only 9
The player with the lowest score wins the round. Each person in the game takes a turn once during a round. When a player can no longer roll the dice, their turn is over.
The player will eventually roll a total for which it is impossible to find a set of uncovered numbers. Once a number is covered up, it stays covered. When this occurs, the player receives the total of the remaining numbers. For example, if the numbers 2, 3, and 5 are exposed and the player rolls a 6, they cannot find a combination, ending their turn.
Roll the dice and flip down the number markers until you achieve a total that cannot be matched with the uncovered numbers. After that, the player must conceal a set of distinct uncovered numbers that equal the amount rolled.
