Catalyst by Southern Research

Catalyst by Southern Research is a research program that aims to advance personalized medicine by allowing participants to contribute genetic, social and health information for research and drive research participation. We hope to learn how access to genetic, social and health data as well as education and research opportunities may impact outcomes.

WHO CAN JOIN?
To join Catalyst, you must be 19 years or older and have a healthcare provider in Alabama who can order a genetic test for you. By joining Catalyst, you may be eligible for genetic testing, and you’ll be helping with research that may improve healthcare for many people.

With this app, you'll have access to:

- Learn more about the study and sign a consent form to participate
- Complete surveys about your health, family history and factors that affect your health
- Share your electronic health record (EHR), which includes information like your doctor's visits, medications, and test results
- Request a MyOme Personal Genome Kit be sent to your primary care provider
- Receive updates about the study, health resources, and opportunities to join additional research studies
