App Description
[AppeaR] is an Augmented Reality art trail app that transforms the creativity of children and young people into immersive digital experiences. Their drawings, crafts, stories, and music are reimagined in AR—anchored to the places and things that matter most to them across Rotherham.
Developed for Rotherham Music’s Signals festival and Children’s Capital Of Culture, this two-year creative journey began in 2023. Through hands-on workshops in schools across the borough, young people’s creativity and voices shaped the app—culminating in its launch during Children’s Capital of Culture year 2025.
Explore, imagine, and rediscover Rotherham through the lens of a new generation.
