The objective of the Train Ride On: Europe game is to score the highest points by claiming the routes between the cities on the map, completing the destination ticket route, and building the longest continuous path across the cities. Train Ride On: Europe includes a total of 110 train cards featuring 12 cards each in pink, red, green, blue, orange, yellow, grey, and black and 14 multi colored locomotive cards. At the start of the game, each player gets 45 train cars, 4 train cards, and 3 destination tickets, from which the player must keep at least two. The top 5 Train cards from the deck are placed face up.
Locomotives are wild cards that can be part of any set of cards while claiming the route. On the player's turn, the player can drop a train car on the selected route, pick a card from the face-up pile/deck, or take a destination ticket. If a player picks one locomotive card from the face-up pile, then the player may draw one card instead of two.


The Destination tickets are kept secret from other players until the game's final scoring. The game ends when any player's train car gets down to 0, 1, or 2 at the end of their turn.
