KinetIQ Putting Trainer turns your iPhone and Apple Watch into a portable putting lab—no launch monitor required.

Using the Apple Watch on your lead wrist and your iPhone in front of you, KinetIQ Putting Trainer shows you what your putter face is really doing through the stroke. The iPhone provides clear visual feedback, while the Apple Watch adds haptic cues so your hands and brain learn together.

Face Control – Train a Square Clubface

Most golfers think their putter face is square. KinetIQ lets you measure it.
• Calibrate by setting up with the putter face square to your intended start line, then tap Calibrate on the iPhone. That position becomes your personal 0°.
• During your stroke, the app displays live face angle in degrees (positive = closed, negative = open).
• A vertical color-coded “heat bar” makes face control easy to read at a glance:
• Green when you’re close to square
• Yellow when you’re slightly open or closed
• Red when the face is significantly open or closed and likely to miss your line
• When the face rotates beyond your threshold, a gentle tap on the Apple Watch lets you feel that you’ve lost control—even if you aren’t looking at the screen.

This combination of number, color, and feel helps you learn how much face rotation is normal for your stroke and how to get the face back to square at impact.

Metronome – Groove Tempo and Distance Control

Speed control starts with consistent tempo. The built-in Putting Metronome helps you find and repeat your best rhythm:
• Adjust beats per minute (BPM) on the iPhone until the cadence matches your best rolls.
• The iPhone provides a clean audio click, while the Apple Watch mirrors the beat with subtle taps.
• Use the beat to time the start of your backswing and impact so your stroke length and timing become repeatable.

Use the metronome on its own to train rhythm, or combine it with Face Control to work on tempo and clubface behavior at the same time.
