App Description
“I Learned This Today” is a simple little app packed with 1,500+ short, friendly articles that answer questions you never knew you had.
Who invented sliced bread?
What is the Voynich manuscript?
How big was the giant sloth?
How does a nuclear bomb work?
Why can animals eat grass but we can't?
Each article is written in clear, everyday English and takes about five minutes to read. Perfect for train rides, coffee breaks, or those moments when you’re bored of scrolling but don’t want to tackle a heavy book.
What you can do in the app:
• Spin through all the articles
Use the “Choose article” button to scroll through every article by number and title. Land on something that looks interesting and dive straight in.
• Start from the newest or wander backwards in time
New articles are added to the website every day, and the app always opens on the latest one. From there you can jump around and explore older topics whenever you like.
• Read comfortably
Adjust the text size with simple A– / A+ buttons so the article is easy on your eyes, whether you’re reading in bed or on the go.
• See the images from each post
Many articles include a photo or illustration to go with the topic. These appear at the top of the article in the app, just like on the website.
• Support the project (optional)
If the app becomes part of your daily routine, you can send a small “virtual coffee” tip from inside the app. It’s completely optional and doesn’t unlock or hide any content.
No accounts. No tracking.
You don’t need to sign up or log in. The app doesn’t collect personal data, track your behaviour, or share anything with advertisers. It simply fetches the latest articles from the I Learned This Today website and shows them to you in a clean, readable layout.
Whether you love science, history, language, technology, or just odd little facts about the world, “I Learned This Today” gives you a gentle nudge to learn something new – one short article at a time.
