App Description

Plantangle creates a bridge between human and plant bioelectric activity, allowing you to explore the fascinating world of plant electrophysiology.

ENTANGLE MODE
Measure your correlation with plant bioelectric signals using DTW (Dynamic Time Warping) analysis. Your phone's accelerometer, light sensor, and microphone feed into machine learning models that predict your emotional state - happiness and energy levels. Watch in real-time as your movements and environment correlate with the plant's electrical responses.

MONITOR MODE
Watch live plant voltage signals streamed directly from ESP32-based sensors. Visualize the plant's electrical activity with a beautiful real-time chart. Perfect for researchers and curious minds who want to observe raw bioelectric data.

EXHIBIT MODE
Connect to multiple plant detection systems simultaneously:
- Touch Detection - See when visitors touch the plant
- Sound Detection - Watch plants respond to singing bowls
- Light Detection - Observe reactions to lamp changes

Designed for the Living Synthesis exhibition, this mode lets you peek at all three plant response monitors from your phone.

DATA REPOSITORY
Export your session data as CSV files for further analysis. Every entanglement session is recorded with timestamps, sensor readings, voltage measurements, and predictions. Perfect for research and experimentation.

THE SCIENCE
Plants generate bioelectric signals through ion channels in their cell membranes. These signals change in response to touch, sound, light, and even human presence. Plantangle uses machine learning trained on real biometric data to detect correlations between your activity and the plant's responses.

REQUIREMENTS
- ESP32-based plant sensor with AD8232 bioelectric amplifier
- Local WiFi network (plant sensors connect via WebSocket)
- The app works with the Living Synthesis exhibition hardware

RESEARCH BACKGROUND
Developed in collaboration with research at MIT Center for Collective Intelligence and University of Cologne, building on work in Collaborative Innovation Networks (COINs) and swarm creativity. Part of ongoing research into plant sentience, bioelectric communication, and human-plant interaction.

ABOUT LIVING SYNTHESIS
Plantangle is the companion app for the Living Synthesis exhibition, touring Swiss museums in 2026. The exhibition explores the boundary between living and artificial systems throu
