Truco Uruguayo is one of the most popular card games in Uruguay. It is a multiplayer game where you can play 1 against 1, or in 2 teams of 2 or 3 players.

The first to reach the agreed number of points wins the match. Each player is dealt 3 cards, and a card is turned over ("muestra"). The one who throws the highest card wins the round, the best of three rounds wins the hand and the points it is worth.

Value of the cards and their names (from lowest to highest value):
• Common: 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3
• "Matas": 7 gold, 7 spades, 1 clubs, 1 spades
• "Piezas": 10, 11, 5, 4 or 2 of the muestra suit
