Block-puzzle games are an engrossing type of puzzle game where players must fit different shaped blocks into a grid with the goal of filling every available space. In order to form entire lines or shapes within a limited playing field, the player must strategically rotate, move, and arrange blocks of various sizes and configurations.

The main goal of these games is to remove or clear the blocks by positioning them so that they occupy target spaces, rows, or columns. The player has greater space to arrange blocks once a line is produced because it vanishes after it is complete. Usually, the player must make snap decisions about where to position a series of blocks that come one at a time.
