App Description

SoilDoc guides you through the spade diagnosis and the soil evaluation.

Soil structure is an essential component of soil fertility. The spade diagnosis is a suitable method for assessing the soil structure and other attributes of soil quality from observations such as odour, colour, roots, soil particles or soil layers.

The SoilDoc app guides you through the spade diagnosis and the observations for a complete assessment of a selected soil. The app can replace former printed instructions.

The SoilDoc app asks questions about the soil, which can be answered with a simple click. Additional information and example pictures help to find the answers.

During the evaluation, the app collects all observations made and generates a report. The report is stored on the mobile phone and can then be exported in csv, txt or html format and saved as a PDF file on a computer. The simple archiving of the observations facilitates the comparison of different surveys at the same location.
