Local varieties of these leafy vegetables are used for cultivation.
Cultivation method -
These vegetable crops are grown in flat paddy fields. Prepare 3 by 2 meter steams and add 20 cm in each steam. Sow seeds in rows at a distance. Sow 25 to 30 gms of Chukraya, 45 gms of Chakvatya and 30 gms of Shepu in each vafa.
Chakvat -
Seeds are ready for harvest in 35 to 40 days after sowing. Vegetables should be cut or uprooted and sent for sale.
Fertilizer Management -
For all these leafy vegetables, add 4 to 5 tons of manure per acre before planting. Apply 15 kg N, 15 kg P and 15 kg K per acre as per soil test. Apply 15 kg N / acre one month after planting.
