The "Ruoti Graphic Novel" audio guide app is a container created to offer visitors a more in-depth understanding of the historical-landscape relevance of the Municipality of Ruoti (PZ). Through different levels of narration, it aims to connect the visit of the village with the surrounding area, characterized by a significant naturalistic value. An integral part of the visit itinerary in the village therefore becomes nine fountains present in the Ruoti area, which testify to the importance of water in the Ruoti community since ancient times, helping to outline a possible itinerary that combines art, nature and local history .
And it is with this aim of integration that the "Ruoti Graphic Novel" app incorporates within it a "The steps of the water" section.
The "Ruoti Graphic Novel" section of the app accompanies the user on a tourist route through the streets of the historic centre, transformed into an open-air exhibition. The walls of the houses become the pages of a Graphic Novel that tells the stories and talents of the people born and lived in the village. The route includes ten points of interest, where large works of art and digital sculptures are affixed to the walls of homes. The narration is entrusted to the voice of Rota, a water nymph linked to the sacred spring of Fontana Bona, who tells the stories of the inhabitants of Ruoti and their talents.
The section of the app "The steps of water" entrusts the natural landscape of the area, on which the nine fountains are located, the memory of a place which is the "totality of signs and value" of a particular genius loci which outlines it the physiognomy. The landscape thus ceases to be merely nature, and becomes a cultural landscape, if only for the visitor's gaze on it.
The "Ruoti Graphic Novel" audio guide app provides a virtual guide of the "Ruoti Graphic Novel" and "I passi dell'acqua" routes, with an interactive map showing the position of the installations, fountains and itineraries to follow. Thanks to the GPS, the user's location is tracked on the map, making orientation easier.
The aim of the app is to offer an immersive experience, evoking visions and atmospheres through images, authorial stories and sounds. This content creates a direct link between the narrative and the place. Walking through the village alleys and the landscapes of the surrounding area, the user can listen to the his
