The app is a reference tool for relevant information on the hazardous chemical substances.

Firefighters and other interested parties can use the Danish Emergency Management Agency's application as a search tool to find relevant information in incidents where there is suspicion of the presence of hazardous chemical substances. The reference work provides instructions for the safest possible response in the event of an accident involving hazardous substances, as well as the ability to look up physical/chemical data.

The application makes it possible to obtain results from both books: "Indsatskort for kemeikaluehld" and "Førsteindsat ved kemeikaluehld" at once with a single electronic search. Together, these two publications form the basis for the "Information system on hazardous substances", which the Danish emergency response services use.

The application saves the user's last five searches in an overview so that it is possible to return and see the results of previous searches. With the application, users also have access to a Geo map that shows their location and the center of the spill. By selecting the applicable safety distance for the given substance, the area is marked together with the applicable wind direction (DMI).

None of the lookup functions require internet access, so once data is downloaded, users can search the application even when there is no internet connection.
