This book was prepared with reference to basic competencies in accordance with the mandate of the 2013 Curriculum. It formulates in an integrated manner the attitudes, knowledge and skills competencies that must be mastered by students. Then, a learning and assessment process is also formulated to ensure the desired competency is achieved.

The learning process is designed to be activity-based by actively involving students in the learning process. This book directs the learning activities that students must carry out with their teachers and classmates to achieve certain competencies.

In accordance with the approach used in the 2013 Curriculum, students should be invited to look for other learning resources available in their surroundings. The role and creativity of teachers is very important in increasing and adjusting students' absorption of learning material through the learning activities in this book. Teachers can enrich students' understanding and experience with various other forms of activities sourced from books and learning media at school.

The writing of this book was created through a fairly long process. Various parties have provided a lot of support in the form of suggestions, input, corrections, encouragement and direction. This book is still very open and needs continuous improvement and refinement.
