With this app, you can explore a place that has provided refuge to well over 4 million people: Since 1945, the Friedland border transit camp has been the first point of contact for people who have to leave their homeland fleeing wars and political conflicts. Friedland stands for departure, arrival, and a new beginning. The past and present of migration are closely intertwined here. And nowhere else is a reception center so closely intertwined with the place.
