Why is it important?

The Japanese language is a musical language. Unlike English, it doesn’t have a stress-accent but it has a “musical accent” known as pitch-accent.

Pitch-accent is a decrease or increase in the tone of voice between syllables in a single word. Our technology analyzes pitch patterns of your voice and compares them to the proper pitch patterns of a native speaker. Then it presents your pronunciation visually in the form of a "wave". The wave indicates the highs and lows of the pitch.

It helps you to compare your pronunciation not only by audio but also visually by comparing your “wave” with the “wave” of the native speaker.
