App Description

Estimate likelihood of Obstructive Sleep Apnea through four clinical tests.

OSAS2.0 is a rewrite of the OSAS Sleep Apnea Screener.

The Obstructive Sleep Apnea Screener (OSAS) has been remade for better look and feel, and to provide data transmission to you. It has also been made free (and free of ads). Should you like it and/or find it useful please contribute. May OSAS serve you well.

OSAS) provides four OSA screening tools including:
The American Society of Anesthesiologists' Checklist
The Berlin Questionnaire
The STOP Questionnaire: Snoring, Tired, Observed breathing disruption, high blood Pressure
The STOP-BANG Questionnaire: comprised of the STOP Questionnaire with further questions for BMI, Age, Neck circumference and Gender.

This app, OSAS, obviates the need for memorization of these tests and referral to textbooks or journals to administer the screens correctly. Users have access to these screens at their fingertips. Using these screens, the general likelihood (low or high) of a person suffering from OSA can be determined.

This app will be particularly useful for anesthesiologists/anesthetists, surgeons and other care providers obtaining patient history prior to surgery, so that they may be better prepared to deal with complications if they arise.

Once data is input, the likelihood of sleep apnea is recalculated for each category and questionnaire and the results are displayed at the bottom of the screen.

As a new feature for this version, entered data and test results can be emailed/texted to yourself.

For privacy, we do not retain this data.

The OSAS app is free to download and use. Should you find the app useful, please contribute. If you choose not to contribute, the app will still run as usual - no limitations on app use or function will be imposed.
