App Description
User inputs values for Amax, Amin, Wp & Wc to calculate epsilon and order n...
This app is used to determine the ripple factor (e) and the order (n) of the inverse Chebyshev response when the user enters the maximum passband attenuation (Wp) in rad/s, the cutoff frequency (Wc), the maximum passband attenuation in dB (Amax) and for frequencies greater than or equal the cutoff frequency the minimum response attenuation in db (Amin). This app relieves the user of having to take square roots, divide and raise powers and take acosh values. As an example, enter Amax = 0.1, Amin = 60, Wp = 250 & Wc = 2000, press the Calculate button and the output should be e = 0.001 and n = 3.424. Otherwise you would need to take Amin, divide by 10, raise that quantity to the 10th power, then subtract 1 and take the inverse square root just to get e. To get n you would need to determine acosh values...what a drag!
