The British TESOL App offers upskilling to English language teachers worldwide with 21st century skills with a focus on current methodologies, innovative approaches, modern pedagogies, and effective assessment strategies. There are three programmes available:

British TESOL Foundation Certificate
British TESOL Professional Certificate
British TESOL Level 5 Certificate (CELTA Equivalent)

The British TESOL training consists of 14 modules to update theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Self-study video lectures and theory components include the four skills, plus classroom management, learner profiles, assessment methods, lesson planning and contemporary topics of English for Academic Purposes, teaching large classes and Global Englishes. The topics included are intended to generate interest and encourage further exploration as part of continual professional development.

The contents reflect current trends in ESOL in the UK to ensure teachers delivering English courses are confident and competent. Participants are encouraged to pause videos to consider tasks and develop self-reflection skills. Reading extracts are provided to highlight the underpinning theories.

For the Professional & Level 5 Certificate teachers will have the opportunity to attend live online workshops with a UK teacher trainer to highlight key areas, provide practical teaching tips and answer participants’ queries.
