The Gross Motor Skills app was designed to provide visual support in demonstrating the execution of gross motor skills. The elaboration of figures and animations represents the proficient way of executing motor skills.

SKILLS
Run, Gallop, Hop, Skip, Horizontal jump, Slide, Two-hand strike of a stationary ball, One-hand forehand strike of a self-bounced ball, One-hand stationary dribble, Two-hand catch, Kick a stationary ball, Overhand throw, and Underhand throw.

CHOOSE CHARACTER
Four character options to be used for demonstrating skills are available. You can choose, or show the child, that you can choose the one that best represents you or that you would like to be used for the demonstration.

CHOOSE DEMONSTRATION SEQUENCE
It is possible to access in different ways how motor skills can be demonstrated. Select only the skill that interests you, or if you prefer, you can select three different forms of presentation. Choose only locomotor skills, only ball skills, or all skills in sequence.

VISUAL RESOURCES
Sequences of images and animations of each of the motor skills are available.
The images contain between four and six sequential figures for each skill, which were created to serve as an aid in demonstrating the execution of the movement. They can be enlarged with a simple movement of the fingers on the screen, to facilitate the visualization of a specific body segment or detail of the movement.
Animations are a proficient representation of skills, which can be played as many times as needed. All animations have specific sounds associated with the movement.

WHO CAN USE
Evaluators: It was developed to provide visual support in demonstrating the execution of motor skills.
Teachers: The image sequences and animations represent the proficient way of executing motor skills. Therefore, teachers can use them to assist in their process of teaching and learning about motor skills. They can also be used during your classes as a tool to stimulate skills.
Researchers: Figures and animations of motor skills can be used as visual support in diverse populations, neurotypic and with neurodevelopmental disorders, and tested for their effectiveness in the teaching and learning of skills.
Parents: The animations are attractive and fun to be imitated. Therefore, parents can download and make materials and spaces available for their children to imitate movements. This will stimulate the development of motor skills and provide a proficient model of execution.
