Stay up to date on everything about Canada's largest weekly 50/50 raffle
The NS Firefighters 50/50 was founded in March 2020 as a result of the Amherst Firefighters Association tasking the Ways & Means Committee to generate new fundraising ideas. As the Covid-19 pandemic was restricting the country, the emergence of a new online raffle platform seemed like a reasonable opportunity to pursue. The AFFA agreed to host and administer the 50/50 raffle, and we would invite other fire departments across the province to join in. The rest, as they say, is history!
The raffle has grown from the original 8 agencies to over 270 now, and the lottery will soon be starting its 4th year of operation. We are proud to award a lucky Nova Scotian with a life-changing prize every week, but more importantly, we are proud of the huge impact this is having on the various agencies and fire departments all across Nova Scotia.
One Winner Will Receive 50% of The Grand Prize Jackpot.
$1,000 EARLY BIRD PRIZE! Ticket buyers who purchase a 50/50 ticket for the regular grand prize jackpot before Monday night at 11:59 p.m. are automatically entered into the weekly Early Bird draw for $1,000, drawn every Tuesday morning.
BONUS PRIZE OPTION Ticket buyers could win one of FIVE extra $1,000 cash prizes! Ticket buyers now have the option to make an extra purchase for a chance to win one of FIVE extra $1,000 cash prizes.
Each year, firefighters in Nova Scotia fundraise hundreds of thousands of dollars for various causes. For some, they may be upgrading their level of service with a new piece of equipment or apparatus. For others, it may be a means to support other charities or community organizations in need or to preserve the history of their local accomplishments. As a common goal, all organizations do this to make their communities a better and safer place to live!
