The Pensa mobile app is the tool used to capture videos of how a retail shelf looks like. The videos submitted through the Pensa Mobile App are then processed using Pensa Systems patented computer vision and advanced AI models digitize the shelves and produce valuable shelf data for Pensa System’s customers.
The mobile app lands the users to the “Stores” tab to navigate the user to locate the retail store they are in to collect shelf data. The mobile app displays stores closest to the user and the stores the user has last visited in two separate tabs. Users can then find the stores they would like to collect video recordings of through these tabs.
Users can make use of store checklists to view various shelves that are in the store they are visiting. Users can click on a shelf they would like to capture and submit a screen recording of. Users can also locate products on shelves in the store checklist under “Product scans” and scan UPC barcodes of products to submit a photo of the product to aid with product labeling for Pensa System’s ML training model.
On top of these core features, users can track their uploads in the “Uploads” tab, add new products to Pensa System’s product catalog besides products defined in the store checklist using the “Add” tab. Users can also be notified with lists of products that were detected as Out Of Stock from their submitted video recordings. Users can use these lists of products that populate in the “Stockings” tab to restock retail shelves in stores.
