Application of the Silk Art Museum in Soufli.

The Museum of Silk Art is located in the center of Soufli in a neoclassical renovated building, where the visitor can get a taste of the stages of silk production, through the machines that work such as breathing, thread processing and even weaving.

The exhibits are complemented by videos showing all the stages from silkworm rearing to the final product.

The purpose of the Museum of Silk Art in Soufli is to highlight and save the rich tradition of the region in Metaxourgia. Original exhibits combined with modern technology lead the visitor step by step on a journey as unique as the silk itself.

In the retail section of the museum you will find a wide range of silk products from the collection of Tsiakiris Silkworks as well as special local and traditional products.

The Museum of Silk Art is equipped with a unique electronic guided tour system which is multilingual and educational in nature.

The Museum meets all the conditions for the access of persons with special needs (PWD) (entrance ramps/elevator/special toilets) and is a pole of attraction for educational tours of schools, universities, clubs, etc. both from all over Greece and from countries abroad .

The Silk Art Museum hosts exhibitions and other events on the subject of art and culture. There are also special guided tours of its landscaped areas for organized groups and educational programs for schools.
