Christ CMI Central School is established in the year 2012 is managed, by Christ CMI Educational and Charitable Trust under the CMI Congregation of St. Joseph’s province with its Head quarters at the CMI Provision house Trivandrum-6695027.

The contributions made by the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate(CMI), the first Indigenous Catholic congregation of India, in the educational field of India where Pioneering and revolutionary Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara the founder of CMI Congregation, founded the first catholic school of Kerala at Mananam, Near Kottayam in 1846. Gradually all the other CMI monasteries also followed the moment. In the year 1864, Saint Chavara in his Capacity as the VICAR General of Syro-Malabar Church, vide his VICAR orders urged all the parishes to start schools adjacent to their churches. These movements later on form the basis of the social economic development of the whole state.

The main aim of the entire Educational endeavor is to bring about a social transformation with an option of manifold opportunities for poor, Couples with an emphasis on moral reconstruction of the society as a whole. Today, the CMI congregation run about 500 Educational Institutions which include a deemed University ,Medical collages, Arts and Science Collages , Autonomous Collages, M.Ed and B.Ed collages, Engineering Collages, Poly Technique Collages, Schools, ITC centers, Nursing Schools and Research Centers.

It caters all the developmental and educational needs of the student in accordance with the contemporary principles of most modern education system. We are blessed with professionally trained and competent teachers under the guidance of CMI fathers. Admissions are open to all students irrespective of caste and creed.
