- Introduction to the association:
Family Development Association in Buraidah (Family) is a national charitable association. The association was established to have a pioneering role in the field of charitable work to contribute to achieving stability and family, social and national security.

Origin and establishment
In the year 1411 AH, the first unit of the association’s services was established, specializing in helping young people seeking marriage. In the year 1420 AH, a committee for reconciliation between marital disputes was established.

In the year 1425 AH, the Charitable Tawfiq Center was established to guide those seeking marriage and treat spinsterhood.

On the date of 9/12/1429 AH, His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs issued a decision to establish the association under the name (Charitable Association for Marriage and Family Care in Buraidah) (Usrah) and to include those committees in it.

On the date of 3/4/1437 AH, the approval of His Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs was issued to amend the name of the association to (Family Development Association in Buraidah) (Family). The association remained in rented headquarters until 3/1/1439 AH, when His Royal Highness, the Emir of the Qassim region, kindly opened the official administrative headquarters owned by the association on Monday 7/30/1439 AH. On 10/23/1432 AH, the Association - by the grace of God - obtained the ISO 9001:2008 certificate for applying the latest international quality systems from the granting and authorized body in the Middle East, the Quality House office.

On 13-15/11/1432, the Society organized the first forum for marriage and family associations in the Kingdom, which is the fifth since the establishment of marriage committees in the Kingdom, and the first of its kind after the demarcation of these associations and their joining the Ministry of Social Affairs, under the slogan: Marriage and Family Associations Defining Strategies... And the arrangement of priorities, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Emir of the Qassim Region, Honorary President of the Association, and in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Emir of the Qassim Region, His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and a gathering of Excellencies. Virtue and happiness are among those interested in family and social affairs in the Kingdom, as the forum’s activities continued for three days, between working paper sessions, training courses, the accompanying exhibition, and discussion panels.

On November 3, 1431, the Association organized the first forum for conciliation and conciliation units in the Qassim region. On 12/23-24/1432 AH, the association organized the first meeting for marriage officials in Buraidah. With the participation of His Excellency the President of the Qassim Region Courts and His Excellency the Director General of the Marriage Department at the Ministry of Justice, Sheikh Muhammad Aba Al-Batin, and was attended by more than sixty marriage officials, where, over two days, the most important issues and directives of interest to the marriage official were reviewed, and the final recommendations were submitted to the Minister of Justice.

On 4/6/1436 AH, the Association organized the second forum for marriage officials in Qassim. In the presence of His Excellency the President of the Court of Appeal in the Qassim Region, Sheikh: Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman Al-Muhaisen, His Excellency the President of the General Court in Buraidah, Sheikh Mansour bin Misfer Al-Jovan, and His Excellency the Director General of the Department of Marriage Notaries at the Ministry of Justice, Sheikh Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman Al-Babtain, and with the participation of seventy-five notaries from various governorates of the region. Al-Qassim. On 7/22/1435 AH, the Society organized the second meeting for the heads of councils and directors of marriage and family associations in the Qassim region.
