Sahib shah sabir is one of the most famous and respected poets of Pashto literature. He was born in 1956 in Malakand Division, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, and later died in 2007 in Peshawar, Pakistan.
Sahib Shah obtained master's degrees in Pashto literature, Urdu literature and political science and in addition he also obtained a PhD degree in literature. He was a member of the Pashtun Student Federation as well as a student leader. There are several excellent books of his poetry and prose, including Khobona, wawre aw Gulona, Rana and Galuna, Pukhtana aw Pukhtu Tapa.
