Audioguided tour application by S. Miguel de Refojos Church and Monastery

The application of the Monastery of S. Miguel de Refojos is the ideal companion in the exploration of this magnificent monument. Through an audio guided tour available in Portuguese, English or French, you will learn the history of what is known as the “Baroque Jewel in Terras de Basto”.

With a simple and intuitive interface, visitors can explore points of interest in a number of ways:
- search in an ordered list;
- numeric code dialing;
- Navigation through the floor plan of the Church and the Monastery.

This application includes:
- Two exploration paths;
- 39 minutes of audio information accompanied by illustrative images;
- Content available in Portuguese, English and French;
- Sound or musical environments for a more enjoyable and contextualized experience;
- Audio information also available in text;
- Sharing images on social networks;
- Additional useful information.

Once you download the app content to your mobile device, you don't need an internet connection to explore the information.

For a better sound experience we recommend using headphones / earphones.

Two routes are available:

Route 1 - Church
Includes a visit to the Church of S. Miguel de Refojos, considered the “Jewel of Baroque in Terras de Basto” and integrated in the Monastery of the same name. This visit also includes the Sacred Art Center.

Route 2 - Monastery
Includes a visit to the Benedictine Church and Monastery of S. Miguel de Refojos. This visit also includes the Sacred Art Center. Due to force majeure, some spaces may not be visitable.




Who we are
With the permission of the Parish of Refojos, the Cabeceiras de Basto City Council is responsible for organizing the visits to this monument, a real ex-libris of Cabeceiras de Basto and affectionately called by the Cabeceirenses “Our Monastery”.
