App Description
The Book of Al-Shama`il Muhammadiyah by Imam Abi Issa Muhammad bin Surah Al-Tirmidhi/279 AH/
What distinguishes this version from others:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to God, by whose grace good deeds are accomplished, and prayers and peace be upon the master of Sadat, the Kaaba of means and virtue, our master Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
I present before you a copy of this blessed book with a new version in terms of presentation and style. I have reduced the font of the narrators to make it easier for the reader to read the hadith, and I have placed an explanation of the vocabulary and some comments after the end of the hadith in a small font within square brackets [] in order to facilitate access to the explanation and movement between the hadiths, and if the font size is It does not suit you. You can enlarge or reduce the font using the dedicated buttons.
It is worth noting that this copy is in agreement with the Dar Al-Hadith edition, commented and supervised by His Eminence Sheikh Izzat Ubaid Al-Daas, may God have mercy on him. He is one of the honorable scholars of the Levant, may God reward them with all goodness. I did not mention all the comments he mentioned, such as the grading of the hadith, other narrations, or biographies, and I contented myself with mentioning the explanation of the vocabulary and some Useful comments We ask God to accept the sake of Taha the Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him, Amen.
Note for clarification: You may find a difference in the total number of hadiths and the numbering of the hadiths. For example, you may find that in another version the number of hadiths is greater. This does not mean that there is a deficiency in the hadiths, but rather in that copy that has an increase: He has numbered another narration of the hadith or a saying related to the hadith before it. .
An example of this is in Hadith 393:
-In our version:
393- Muhammad bin Bashar told us, he said: Ibn Abi Adi and Muhammad bin Jaafar told us, they said: Awf bin Abi Jamila told us, on the authority of Yazid Al-Farsi - and he was writing the Qur’an - he said:
I saw the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, in a dream at the time of Ibn Abbas. He said: So I said to Ibn Abbas: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, in sleep. Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to say: “The devil cannot imitate me, so whoever sees me in sleep has seen me.” Can you name this man you saw in your sleep? He said: Yes, I described to you a man between the two legs, whose body and flesh are brown to white, with kohl eyes, good laugh, beautiful facial features, whose beard filled the space between this one and the other, and filled his throat - Auf said: I do not know what was with this epithet - so he said Ibn Abbas: If you saw him while awake, you would not be able to describe him beyond this.
Abu Issa said: “Yazid Al-Farsi is: Yazid bin Hurmuz, and he is older than Yazid Al-Raqqashi. Yazid Al-Farsi narrated hadiths on the authority of Ibn Abbas, and Yazid Al-Raqqashi did not catch up with Ibn Abbas. He is Yazid bin Aban Al-Raqqashi, and he narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik, and Yazid Al-Farsi And Yazid Al-Raqashi, both of whom are from Basra, and Awf bin Abi Jamila is: Awf Al-Arabi.”
Abu Dawud Sulaiman bin Salam al-Balkhi told us, he said: An-Nadhar bin Shumail told us, he said: Awf Al-Arabi said: “I am older than Qatada.”
-In other versions:
393- Muhammad bin Bashar told us, he said: Ibn Abi Adi and Muhammad bin Jaafar told us, they said: Awf bin Abi Jamila told us, on the authority of Yazid Al-Farsi - and he was writing the Qur’an - he said:

Abu Issa said: “Yazid Al-Farsi is: Yazid bin Hurmuz, and he is older than Yazid Al-Raqqashi. Yazid Al-Farsi narrated hadiths on the authority of Ibn Abbas, and Yazid Al-Raqqashi did not catch up with Ibn Abbas. 394- Abu Dawud Sulaiman bin Salam al-Balkhi told us, he said: An-Nadhar bin Shumail told us, he said: Awf Al-Arabi said: “I am older than Qatada.”
The difference: Our version did not count the last narration as a new hadith, and this is more correct because the narration is subordinate to what came before it, and this indicates that whoever added another number and considered the hadith to be two hadiths did not read the chain of transmission of the previous narration, and did random numbering.---------- -----------------
