Pune traffic app enables communication between citizens and traffic authorities.

Over the years, Pune has experienced a rapid increase in population and vehicular traffic. The city's expanding infrastructure struggles to keep up with the rise in vehicles and traffic rule violations, leading to frequent congestion. To tackle these issues, there's a pressing need for a dedicated traffic app that enables seamless communication between Pune's citizens and traffic authorities. Initially, the Pune Traffic app plans to include the following functionalities:
1. Reporting Violations: Enable citizens to easily report traffic violations, such as:
◦ No Parking
◦ Driving on the footpath
◦ Heavy vehicles no entry
◦ Talking on a mobile while driving
◦ Triple seat
◦ Tinted glasses
◦ Fancy number plate
◦ Driving in the wrong way / No entry
2. Reporting Incidents Causing Traffic Jams: Enable citizens to report incidents causing traffic jams, such as:
◦ Accidents
◦ Vehicle breakdowns
◦ Potholes
◦ Traffic jams
◦ Oil spills
◦ Water logging
◦ Tree falls
◦ Abandoned vehicles
3. Alerts: Real-time traffic alerts within 3 km of the user's live location.
4. E-Challan Management: Allow users to view and pay e-challans for their vehicles or raise grievances against e-challans.
5. Information on Traffic Rules and Regulations: Provide details about traffic rules and regulations.
6. Parking Locations: Information on parking locations managed by the Pune Municipal Corporation.
By improving the flow of information and encouraging responsible driving behavior, a traffic app would significantly enhance road safety and commuting efficiency in Pune, creating a more organized and safer urban environment.

वर्षांनुवर्षे पुणे शहराने लोकसंख्या आणि वाहनांची संख्या जलद गतीने वाढताना अनुभवली आहे. वाढत्या वाहनांची आणि वाहतूक नियमांच्या उल्लंघनांची संख्या सांभाळण्यासाठी शहराची वाढती पायाभूत सुविधा पुरेशी ठरत नाही, ज्यामुळे वारंवार वाहतूक कोंडी होते. या समस्यांचा सामना करण्यासाठी, पुणेच्या नागरिकांना आणि वाहतूक अधिकाऱ्यांना सुसंगत संवाद साधण्यासाठी एक समर्पित वाहतूक अ‍ॅपची तीव्र गरज आहे. प्रारंभी, पुणे ट्रॅफिक अ‍ॅपमध्ये खालील कार्यक्षमता समाविष्ट करण्याची योजना आहे:
1) वाहतूक उल्लंघनांची माहिती देणे: नागरिकांना खालील वाहतूक उल्लंघनांची माहिती देण्याची सुविधा केलेली आहे
• नो पार्किंग
• पादचारी मार्गावर वाहन चालवणे
• अवजड वाहनांचे निर्बंधांचा भंग करणे
• ड्रायव्हिंग करताना मोबाइलवर बोलणे
• तिघेजण सीटवर बसणे
• काळी काच लावणे
• फॅन्सी नंबर प्लेट
• विरुद्ध दिशेने वाहन चालवणे
2) वाहतूक कोंडी निर्माण करणाऱ्या घटनांचा अहवाल देणे: वाहतूक कोंडी निर्माण करणाऱ्या घटनांचा अहवाल देण्याची सोपी पद्धत:
• अपघात
• वाहन खराब होणे
• खड्डे
• वाहतूक कोंडी
• तेल गळती
• पाण्याचा साठा होणे
• झाड पडणे
• सोडलेले वाहन
3) वाहतुकी बाबत इशारा : वापरकर्त्याच्या लोकेशनपासून ३ कि.मी. च्या आत रिअल-टाइम वाहतूक इशारा.
4) ई-चालान व्यवस्थापन: वापरकर्त्यांना त्यांचे वाहनांसाठी ई-चालान पाहण्याची आणि भरपाई करण्याची किंवा ई-चालानच्या विरुद्ध तक्रार करण्याची सुविधा.
5) वाहतूक नियम आणि कायदे माहिती: वाहतूक नियम आणि कायद्यांची माहिती प्रदान करणे.
6) पार्किंग स्थानांची माहिती: पुणे महानगरपालिकेद्वारे व्यवस्थापित पार्किंग स्थानांची माहिती.
माहितीचे प्रवाह सुधारून आणि जबाबदार वाहनचालकाचे वर्तन प्रोत्साहन देऊन, वाहतूक अ‍ॅप पुण्यामध्ये रस्ता सुरक्षेला आणि प्रवासाच्या कार्यक्षमतेला महत्त्वपूर्ण सुधारणे देईल, ज्यामुळे एक अधिक संघटित आणि सुरक्षित शहरी वातावरण निर्माण होईल.
