Through 40 original texts (20 for CM1, 20 for CM2), The keys to reading allows the student to work on the essential strategies to implement to learn to understand a text, in order to evaluate their understanding in the best conditions.

Each sequence looks the same:

• A text that serves as a basis for understanding. Different types of texts (narrative, descriptive, dialogue, tutorial, cooking recipe, etc.) are offered throughout the pages to familiarize the student with several genres and registers.
• Two bridging sheets (sheets A and B), built around 7 mental strategies, to learn to understand. These 7 strategies are as follows:
o rely on punctuation;
o rephrase;
o construct a mental image;
o guess the meaning of a word;
o identify the object of a substitute;
o infer from the context;
o make a film of the text.
• An evaluation sheet (sheet C). Thanks to open questions, the student can assess their understanding of the text by reformulating it in their own words.

The application allows you to view all the tables and add notes, hide or highlight elements via the graphic toolbox. It also allows you to listen to the texts and view the texts in a differentiated version.
