■About the "Mountain and Highland Map" Publication
The "Mountain and Highland Map" series is a long-selling series of hiking maps that originated with "Mountain Map," first published in 1965.
For each product, mountain professionals familiar with the area conduct field surveys, and the maps are updated annually based on the results. As Japan's only nationwide hiking map series, they have consistently garnered popularity.

With their reliable information, easy-to-read maps, indication of course times and dangerous spots, comprehensive access information and supplements, and use of waterproof paper, these maps have earned a reputation as essential hiking companions, establishing them as a reliable and safe map brand.

~Examples of our commitment~

- To ensure smooth use even in the rain, the maps are made of water-resistant paper that resists tearing even when wet.
The pages are also "varnished" to prevent ink bleeding.

- Authors with extensive knowledge of the mountains actually walked and investigated the area.

- The difficulty of the hiking trails is expressed through colors, solid and dashed lines, and estimated trail times.

- Packed with information useful for hiking safety and security, such as mountain huts, water sources, dangerous areas, places where it's easy to get lost, and landmarks.

- Also includes advice for enjoying hiking, such as places to view flowers and alpine plants and scenic spots.

- The appendix booklet is packed with information that wouldn't fit on a map, such as the origins of mountain names and overviews, the region's weather, animal and plant characteristics, and recommended trails.

- Always use the paper "Mountain and Highland Map" in conjunction with this app to prepare for unforeseen circumstances such as a dead battery.
- The survey period for the published information is listed in the app's "Help" > "Credits" menu. Due to survey requirements, some areas may include information from earlier periods. Additionally, the conditions of hiking trails, facility opening hours, and other mountaineering area conditions can change significantly due to heavy rain, wind, snow, and other factors. Please make careful decisions and act at your own risk. For safety, be sure to check with local government offices before hiking.
- The published information is not based on GPS positioning and may differ from your actual location.
- The surrounding terrain and other factors may reduce the accuracy of the location information obtained by your smartphone.
