You can use the Tax Return app to file your 2025 income tax return starting March 1st.

You retrieve your information with your DigiD. Then you check it. If everything is correct, you can sign and submit your return immediately.

The Tax Return app can only be used in conjunction with the DigiD app. The DigiD app must be installed on the same device, and you use the DigiD app's PIN to open the app.

Are you filing with a tax partner? Then your partner also needs the DigiD app on their own device.

First, check whether you can file with the app.

You're likely eligible if you didn't need to change or add anything last year and your situation hasn't changed.

You cannot use the tax return app if you:
- did not have the same tax partner for the entire year
- bought or sold your home and therefore had deductible expenses
- had residual debt on a former owner-occupied home
- temporarily rented out your home, for example, through Airbnb
- ran a business
- had a share in an undivided inheritance
- had income from other work
- lived abroad
- had income from abroad
- had assets abroad
- were a co-parent, and your minor child was not registered at your address
- had deductibles, such as gifts, healthcare costs, or tuition fees

Note!
If you had income in Box 3, you cannot use this app to report your actual return. The app only considers the deemed return.
