Buypass FIDO2 is used for reading Fido2 security keys
Buypass FIDO2 app is required by Buypass FIDO2 service when using Android smartphone as reader of Fido2 security key. This application is a temporary solution necessary when using Android devices to read FIDO2 based security keys (tokens). Android does not implement the FIDO2 standard for 2 factor authentication (2FA) in a way that is required by Buypass to be eIDAS compliant. This application will force the use of PIN to unlock authentication credentials stored on the security key. The application is only applicable where Buypass FIDO2 service is in use.
When Android OS and web browsers support FIDO2 for 2FA this application is no longer necessary and will be discontinued.
