An AR engine for tabletop historical wargaming

Revolution: the Wargame is a tabletop miniature wargaming system developed by Jacobin Games for the French Revolutionary Period (1792-1805). In its core, Revolution: the Wargame plays like your traditional card-based miniature wargame, players get to assign orders, roll dice, and enact battles with physical miniatures on a physical table. But Revolution: the Wargame is also modernized by the inclusion of a mobile application specifically designed to enhance the gaming experience. The application acts both as the rulebook and game master, with additional features including server-supported solo campaign systems, multiplayer modes, and more.

- Organic rules management through on-screen tooltips and links *directly integrated into gameplay*. We can't imagine why any app wouldn't have this!
- A Simultaneous and Secret command system that will finally break free of the IGOUGO. This will both speed up the games but also better simulate the fog-of-war.
- Immersive gameplay design meant to confront players with the comparable challenges & lenses of a commander of the time.
- *Optional* command timer systems to encourage fast, fun, & furious gaming. Learn to speedily manage your subordinates and experience the true pressure undergone by battlefield commanders!
- Campaigns & linked battle scenarios, whether they be run solo, on a club night, or over months with a large group.
- Enhanced Solo options for scenarios, campaigns and tutorials. What's the point of having a computer be part of the game if we can't use it to enable a major leap forward in solo gaming?
- Free living content updates. No one should have to use clumsy errata and FAQs, let alone wait years for basic, common sense house-rulings to correct design oversights & exploits that no company is immune to. *We will continuously absorb community feedback and update rules for accuracy and gameplay balance for free over the long term.*
