Kraków - Stare Miasto

An audio guide is a simple, pleasant and interesting way to get to know the heart of Krakow.

We start the audio tour in the middle of the largest Market Square in Europe. We admire the Gothic St. Mary's Church, listening - with a bit of luck - to the most popular Polish melody, the bugle call from St. Mary's Tower. Then we go to the charming square next to the temple, where we decide whether we want to go inside to admire the extraordinary altar of Veit Stoss.

From St. Mary's Church we go to the other end of the Market Square, seeing the wonderful Cloth Hall, the tiny church of St. Wojciech and historic tenement houses full of secrets.

The tour then takes us along the representative Floriańska Street to the Floriańska Gate. There we go beyond the walls of old Krakow to see the centuries-old Barbican.

We return to the Market Square along św. Jana, passing the Princes Czartoryski Museum along the way with the most valuable painting in Polish collections - "The Lady with an Ermine" by Leonardo da Vinci.

Walking through the Market Square again, we admire its next attractions.

We end the audio tour in the former university district - in the courtyard of the pearl of medieval architecture, the Collegium Maius building.
