A guide to the trails and history of the commune

Discover Chorzele – a unique commune in northern Mazovia, where history, nature, and borderland heritage intertwine. "Chorzele – a commune of a hundred borders" is an interactive tourist app that guides you through 10 diverse routes: three urban trails in Chorzele and seven routes leading through the most interesting corners of the entire commune. It's the perfect guide for anyone wanting to explore the region in a modern and engaging way.

The app combines maps, audio guides, local stories, and interesting facts with entertainment elements such as field games and quizzes. This makes sightseeing an interactive adventure – both in the city and among the forests, fields, villages, and former border trails.

Each trail includes detailed descriptions of attractions, monuments, and nature, along with photos and audio recordings, creating a time-traveling atmosphere. You'll discover, among other things, the history of the region and its surroundings. You'll explore historic manors and parks, visit the Łysa Góra archaeological site, see rural landscapes, spruce and pine forests, chapels, and monuments. You'll discover interesting natural features and sites related to the former border. You'll explore areas where the history of the Masovian nobility and Masuria, Kurpie and East Prussia, and urban and rural culture intersect. Our game even allows you to step back in time and become a smuggler operating in the borderlands – a unique way to learn about the region's history. The app includes:

The app is part of the project entitled: "Enriching the tourist offer of the Chorzele Commune through the digitization and modernization of designated tourist trails within the commune." The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Priority: European Funds for a Better Quality of Life in Mazovia.
