App Description

How and when to plant basil ्रोGrovan Basil planting technology # Agrowone®

Information on planting and growing basil, respectively:
Most of the time, the prepared basil plant is brought directly from the nursery for planting in the house. But if you have stored seeds, you can definitely sow them to grow basil plants. A new plant can also be formed from the thick pruning of the old trunk.

Sowing seeds:
Basil seeds are very small in size. Seeds should not be sown directly in the pot or soil. Fill coco peat in seedling tray or any shallow tray and sow seeds on it. The sown seeds should be covered with a thin layer of coco peat. Add water after sowing. Seeds germinate in about 8 to 12 days. Assume that the seedlings get 5 to 6 leaves in a month and the seedlings are ready to be planted in the pot.

Latch:
A basin with a diameter of 10 to 12 inches and a height of at least 1 foot is suitable for Tulsi. There are a lot of plastic pots available these days and there is no problem in using them. But there is no doubt that an earthen pot is more pleasing to the basil plant. Whatever the pot is, it should have a hole in the bottom of the pot to allow water to drain. At the bottom of the pot, make a layer of bricks (7 to 8 pieces). Cover this layer with dried leaves (2-3 cm). Only then fill the soil mixture. Tulshi Vrindavan should also be filled like a pot, but here the layer of broken bricks should be thicker.

Soil and fertilizer mixture:
For Tulsi, a mixture of two parts soil and one part manure should be used to fill the pot. Poita (Loam) type red or brown soil is best. Do not use black heavy soil, clay or light sandy soil. Completely decomposed cow dung should be used in the mixture as organic manure. Please do not use fresh dung or dried dung powder.
