After the South was completely liberated on April 30, 1975, the revolutionary government took over the Western port and continued to serve customers. In order to meet the travel needs of the city's people to the Western provinces, in July 1975, the Road Transport Department established the Management Board and changed its name to Mien Tay Bus Station with an expanded area of ​​39,000m2.

In 1976, the Road Transport Department assigned Mien Tay Bus Station to the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City to manage; Accordingly, Mien Tay Bus Station is a unit under the Western Bus Company established by the Department of Transport.

In 1992, Mien Tay Bus Station was transformed into a state-owned enterprise with independent economic accounting. Its main business is exploiting and trading bus stations, agents and other services. In 1997, Mien Tay Bus Station was transformed into a state-owned enterprise operating in public services.

On 15/07/2004, Mien Tay Bus Station was transferred from Ho Chi Minh City Department of Traffic and Public Works to Saigon Transportation Mechanical Corporation to manage on the basis of pilot operations following the model of the Company. Parent - Subsidiary according to Decision No. 172/2004/QD–UB of the Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, with an area of ​​47,392.4m2.

Implementing the policy of the Party and the State to mobilize more capital, create new motivation and promote the true ownership of employees in enterprises, Mien Tay Bus Station was selected by the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City. to develop a project to convert into a joint-stock company under Decision No. 1552/QD-UB dated April 8, 2005 and August 31, 2005 People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City issued Decision No. 4552/ QD-UB and Decision No. 5403/QD-UBND dated October 21, 2005 approving the plan and transforming Mien Tay Bus Station into Mien Tay Bus Station Joint Stock Company. On May 3, 2006, Mien Tay Bus Station Joint Stock Company officially went into operation under the business license number 4103004698 licensed by the Department of Planning and Investment.

On September 17, 2010, Mien Tay Bus Joint Stock Company was officially listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange.

Currently, in addition to routes to 13 provinces of the Southwest region, Mien Tay Bus Station has more routes to the following provinces: Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Gia Lai, Ninh Thuan, Dak Lak, Dak Nong, Lam Dong, Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh and Thai Binh.
