App Description

Speed Limit App – Smarter Speed & Road Sign Detection ! It shows your current speed and the current speed limit at a glance. It uses advanced camera-based traffic and road sign detection to recognize European speed limits in real time, and enhances accuracy with map-based data from OpenStreetMap. This combination gives you highly reliable speed limit information—even when signs are missing, such as Zone 30, inner-city areas, or other implicit limits. And of course, you’ll get a clear warning when you are going too fast.

► New in the Latest Version
• NEW! CarPlay Support – See your speed, limits, and detections directly on your CarPlay dashboard.
• Redesigned Road Sign Detection – More accurate, faster, improved performance for all European road signs.
• Ultrawide Camera Support – Capture more of the road ahead for improved detection of traffic signs in curves or at the roadside.
• Improved Speedometer Design – Cleaner, more modern, and easier to read at a glance.

► How Speed Limit App Works
Speed Limit App is a powerful road sign recognition tool using a hybrid detection method:
• Camera-based recognition: Detects European speed limit signs using your iPhone’s camera while driving.
• Map-based detection: Retrieves speed limit information from OpenStreetMap for inner-city areas, zones, and roads without physical signs.
• Both sources are intelligently merged to give you the optimal and most reliable speed limit indication.
• The built-in speedometer uses GPS to determine whether you are above or below the actual limit of the last detected road sign.
Perfect for avoiding speeding, spotting missed signs, and staying informed—whether by camera-based or map-based detection.

► Limitations of Speed Limit App
Speedometer Radar Camera technology performs highly complex computer vision tasks — something once limited to mainframe computers. Therefore, some limitations apply:
• In low-light or adverse weather, the iPhone camera may fail to recognize certain road signs.
• Optimized for European road signs only, US speed limits are currently not supported.
• No support yet for “end of limit” signs or town/city boundary signs that may influence speed limits in some countries.
• Road signs in narrow turns may be missed due to limited camera visibility.
• Occasional missed or
