Wifi.italia.it is the APP that will allow you to connect to the hotspots of all the free Italian WiFi networks that adhere to the national project promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development. By downloading APP and logging in for a minute, you will be able to connect automatically as soon as your smartphone detects the presence of a Hot Spot on a federated network near you. With APP you no longer need to fill out forms and input pages to access networks because your smarthpone will warn you with a notification that you are already connected. Just as it does with home or office WiFi networks. With simple TAP notification you can open the APP and see some content that the network hosting you at that time decided to make it available. With future versions, we want to make this APP a platform that is becoming more and more complete and simple to give all citizens or gamers not only the internet vanilla service but many other content and services that the administrations and participating institutions will put in arrangement. Check on the APP map of the hot spots and networks that have been federated and integrated so far and see if there is someone close to you. The project starts in the summer of 2017, and the coverage of the integrated network will become even bigger thanks to the users' urge for networks and public institutions in their cities to enter the project. The wifi.italia.it project In 2016, the protocol "For the dissemination of intelligent platforms to the service of tourists on Italian territory" was signed by the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and the Agency for the Promotion Digital Italy. The Protocol intends to promote, activate and develop innovation processes aimed at the creation of a digital ecosystem of tourism capable, on the one hand, of facilitating the access of citizens and visitors to the artistic, natural and cultural heritage distributed throughout the territory National, on the other, to create a fertile environment for the private sector in which to develop value-added applications and services.

The expected result is the realization of a comprehensive project based on widespread connectivity and services to the citizen able to:
