Wordful Lithuanian

Lithuanian has kept grammatical features that most other European languages lost centuries ago. Wordful Lithuanian teaches the modern spoken language: the words people actually use in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipėda.

ONE PAYMENT, NO IN-APP PURCHASES
This app has no in-app purchases and no subscription. You pay once on the App Store, and every lesson is available the first time you open the app. Nothing is locked, nothing expires, and new content in later updates costs nothing extra.

TOPICS FROM DAILY LIFE
Lessons follow an ordinary day in Lithuania: ordering cepelinai in a restaurant, asking a price in euros, reading a bus timetable, shopping without switching to English. Every topic combines new vocabulary with listening practice and reading practice, and new material is added regularly. A separate Context section places the same words in complete conversations, because reading the word duona and asking a baker for bread are two different skills.

THE LITHUANIAN LETTERS
Ą, Č, Ę, Ė, Į, Š, Ų, Ū and Ž are difficult for most beginners, and vowel length can change the meaning of a word. Every word is spoken aloud in the app, so you can hear the difference between a long vowel and a short vowel.

YOUR PROGRESS IS SAVED
The app saves your position and shows you what to study next. Words you answer incorrectly or skip are marked and shown to you again later, so you repeat the vocabulary you have not learned yet.

WORKS WITHOUT INTERNET
Vocabulary lessons, listening, reading and Context practice all work in airplane mode. There is no account to create and no registration before the first lesson. No personal data is collected, and the app contains no advertising. The content and the design are suitable for children.

You choose the language you study from and the language of the interface separately. They do not need to be the same.
