Solid GPS

Solid GPS was born out of a need. When my Trent’s neighbourhood was hit by a series of burglaries, the thought of him losing his motorcycle kept him up at night. In a bid to protect his asset he searched the internet for a suitable GPS tracker.

Unfortunately he was met with poor results. Every device he found had something lacking. Some were too expensive or still used the old 2G network. Others would only work within a small radius, had limited battery life and weren’t portable. Those that looked promising didn’t receive great reviews, had fake reviews and broke down before they could be used.

So Trent asked himself “why can’t I just find a portable GPS Tracker that just works?” And that’s when the idea of building his own GPS tracker came to him. After a long development period, Solid GPS released its first iteration and has slowly been developing and improving the hardware and software. Solid GPS is a family business, all development and manufacturing is done in-house.
