What is DataForce Contribute?

DataForce Contribute is a mobile application which enables freelance contributors to work on a variety of projects for DataForce by TransPerfect, the AI Solutions division of TransPerfect Translations Inc.

For some of these projects you will need to install DataForce Contribute in order to complete the tasks.

What can you do with the app?

The projects you may be asked to participate in will involve some or all of the following:
- taking or sharing photographs of specified objects, people or situations,
- recording or sharing short video shots in accordance to the specifications,
- recording or sharing sound or speech samples as specified in the instructions,
- visiting places to provide information and media recorded there.

What is needed to reap full benefits of the app?

Because of the nature of media collections and activities that the app facilitates, DataForce Contribute will request several permissions for you to be able to perform the projects described above. In all cases the app requires access to the permissions only when in use to ensure your full control.

The “when in use” permissions you need to grant include:
- camera access (taking photos and recording video clips),
- files and multimedia access (sharing photos and other media files selected by you, from your device),
- microphone (recording sounds or speech samples),
- location (for location-specific reporting of information).

Please note that you will actively select the files to be shared and will always be aware of what and when you are sharing.
