About the Genba no Nihongo app
This app has been developed to support and assist technical intern trainees with their study of the Japanese language. Improving your Japanese ability is an indispensable part of the practical and safe application of on-site technical training.
This app aims to make efficient use of your classes prior to arriving in Japan, as well as your classes after you have arrived in Japan and in any spare moments you may find during your training schedule – please use this app in a positive manner to learn as much Japanese as you can.
1) Genba no Kaiwa – Conversations at Work
This section will teach elements used in conversations in Japanese that you will hear and partake in during your time at work as a technical intern trainee. The aim is to understand what is being said in these conversations and to develop your ability to start conversations of this nature.

2) Genba no Kotoba – Vocabulary at Work
This section will teach the Japanese vocabulary that you will find useful during your time at work as a technical intern trainee. The aim is for you to understand the meaning of these words, as well as using these words to start conversations.

3) Watashi no Kaiwa – My Conversations
This section is a list of skits based on conversations at work between a technical intern trainee and a supervisor, which have been shared here so that other trainees and supervisors might use this content as a teaching aid. You can create your own lists of conversations and may choose to make them public (or not) as you see fit.

4) Watashi no Tango – My Phrases
This section is a list of phrases and expressions deemed necessary or useful for conversations at work between a technical intern trainee and a supervisor, which have been shared here so that other trainees and supervisors might use this content as a teaching aid. You can create your own lists of phrases and may choose to make them public (or not) as you see fit.
